Challenge Africa Team at the Bath Half Marathon
Amazing people are supporting Challenge Africa and proving we can all make a difference.
Graham Avery ran the London Marathon in April to raise money for HIVAIDS counselling and education in the village. Beth and Rob Cuffe-Fuller are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, challenging themselves to improve the lives of the orphans we care for.

We are sending out another shipment of tools, stationery and sewing items for our projects in early 2010. Many thanks to our partners Blythswood Care for running a sanitary towel collection across South Wales for this and providing the shipping. On Christmas day we held an orphan party and gave donated clothes and shoes to the orphans. It is our hope that all our projects will become sustainable and clothing will be made locally at our centre but until this is possible, your generous donations from the UK have been very gratefully received.
Being given clothes on Christmas day made the children so happy.

Challenge Africa would like to thank ...

Climate change has already affected the villages of Wagusu and Abimbo. The rain does not fall when expected and farmers struggle to adapt to the challenges posed by changing conditions. Challenge Africa recognises that our western lifestyle choices are affecting the people of Africa and is thrilled to be connected with UK businesses who promote a greener way of living. Alongside such partnerships, we try to keep our own carbon footprint as small as possible, communicating electronically and encouraging all volunteers to offset their carbon emissions when travelling to Kenya.
